It is the customers' responsibility to read through the following Terms & Conditions. By using the Site and/or placing an order for products from us, you agree to follow and to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.Â
GENERAL:
We may modify or update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Your continued usage of the Website constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by the Terms and Conditions as changed. You should check this page regularly to take notice of any changes we may have made to the Terms and Conditions.Â
ORDERING:
- Your order is confirmed once payment has been made.
- After placing an order, you would receive an order confirmation to your email immediately thereafter. Kindly ensure that all required details and specifications are detailed out in the invoice. Please email us if you did not receive this confirmation email.
- For 10CM to 20CM classic cakes, piping is done on a chocolate piece placed on top of the cake and piped in ganache, unless otherwise stated. For all other cakes, piping would be on the cake board. If the chocolate tag is out of stock, the message would be piped on the cake board by default. No further notice would be given to client in such cases.
- We do not provide ice packs or dry ice at the moment.
- We provide 1 bag per entire order, except for tiered cakes whereby no bag would be given. Should you require more, kindly write in to us at least 3 days before with your order number. Any enquiry sent in after 4PM will be counted as received the next day. Additional charges may apply.
ORDER AMENDMENTÂ & CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Order cancellations and cash refunds are not allowed once payment has been made. Please check your order carefully before checking out.
- Order amendments are subjected to management's discretion and availability. Please write in at least 3 working days before via Email or Whatsapp (any enquiry sent in after 4pm will be counted as received the next working day) for all order amendments.Â
- Any difference in dollar ($) amounts upon amending an order (i.e. changing from delivery to self collection) would be refunded in store credits with a 1 year validity.
SELF COLLECTION:
- Please collect the cake within the store operating hours.Â
- Cakes that are not collected by closing time would be kept for collection on the next working day. Cakes not collected within 24 hours from original date and time of collection would be discarded and no refunds would be made.
- The person collecting the cake is wholly responsible for checking that the order specifications of the cake received (including provisions of knives, candles, decorations) are correct and in good condition.
- Once the cake has been collected, it is deemed as acceptance and we will not bear any responsibility to any damage to the cake; and any dispute with regards to the order thereafter. Subsequent disputes regarding damage to the cake or incorrect cake design will not be entertained if not raised to our staff at the time of collection.
Grab/Lalamove/3rd Party Drivers
- If you are arranging for a 3rd party driver to collect your order from us, please ensure that a car is selected.Â
- You are required to provide the driver with your name and order number as they will need to present it to us in order to collect your order.
- We do not take responsibility for any problems or situations that arise from and arise because of the 3rd party delivery service as well as for the items once they have left our premises. It is advisable that the driver takes a picture of all the items of your order before and after delivering them to you.
- We do not make any delivery arrangements or book 3rd party delivery services on behalf of pickup customers. Please arrange for your own 3rd party delivery service if you have opted for self-pickup and are not able to come over to our store to collect your order from us.
DELIVERY:
- The person who receive the cake is wholly responsible for checking that the order specifications of the cake received (including provisions of knives, candles, decorations) are correct and in good condition. Subsequent disputes regarding damage to the cake or incorrect cake design will not be entertained if not raised to the driver at the time of delivery. We will not be responsible for any damage that occurs after the delivery has been completed.
- All deliveries do not come with set-up of any kind, including unboxing of the cake.Â
- If the driver arrives at the location and instructions are given to the driver to leave the items outside the premises, such as on a door handle or cabinet, we will not be responsible for the conditions of these items after delivery.
- All orders are arranged to arrive within the chosen time slot. We cannot arrange the delivery to arrive at, by, or after a specific time (eg. at 2pm). Drivers deliver to a few places in one trip following a route that is carefully planned, arranged, and optimised.
However, factors that affect or may cause early arrivals or delays in deliveries (non-exhaustive):
- The availability of drivers.
- Traffic conditions.
- Weather conditions.
- How long a driver is held up at a certain delivery location.
- Unforeseen circumstances or Circumstances beyond our control.
- While we try our best to arrange orders to arrive within the chosen time slot, Fieldnotes will not be held responsible for any early arrivals or delays of delivery due to any of the reasons above or because of any circumstances impacting the availability of the 3rd party drivers we use and anything else outside of our control.
- Please opt for self-pickup or select an available earlier/later time slot if you cannot risk the items arriving earlier or later than a chosen time frame.
- For deliveries to hotels, shopping malls, museums, and other restricted zones, the cake would have to be collected from the main lobby or nearest pick up point by default. If you wish for delivery directly to the room or restaurant, please write in to inform us. A surcharge of $5 would apply.
Successful Delivery
Deliveries are considered successful where:
- It has been passed to the recipient/someone on behalf of the recipient.
- It has been left at the guardhouse, with a neighbour, or a place requested or consented by the recipient or someone on behalf of the recipient (this includes the buyer).
- Persons collecting the items from the drivers are required to check that the items are in good condition upon receiving them. Do let the driver know (before the driver leaves) of any defects/damage/missing items. We would need to be notified on the day the items are delivered of any defects/damage that occur because of delivery (proof of defect/damage is required).
- We will assess and investigate the matter, and decide the next steps to be taken according to their discretion, taking into account all relevant factors.
Unsuccessful Delivery
Deliveries are considered successful where: Unsuccessful delivery is when a driver has been assigned to your order, but due to the reasons below, the driver cannot deliver the items to the recipient.
- The recipient is unreachable/uncontactable on the driver's arrival at the delivery address.Â
- There is no such person at the delivery address.
- The delivery address given is incorrect or incomplete (e.g. missing unit number) or not searchable on Google Maps.
- No valid contact number was given to us to make reasonable attempts to contact the recipient in order to execute the delivery successfully.
- The recipient is not willing to collect the order from the driver at the drop-off point/lobby/ground floor of the given delivery address.
- The recipient does not consent to leaving the items with someone else or in some other area within the premises.
- The recipient/buyer requests the driver to wait at the delivery address for longer than 10 minutes.
- Other circumstances that prevent the driver from passing the items to the recipient/someone on behalf of the recipient on a case-to-case basis.
In the event of unsuccessful delivery,
- The buyer will be notified via the email that was used to place the order.
- Drivers will bring the items back to our store after completing all the deliveries following the assigned route.
- No requests for refunds of the item(s) and/or delivery fee will be entertained due to the perishable nature of our products and our on-demand delivery service.
The buyer/someone on the buyer's behalf is required to:
- Request for re-delivery at a fee of $12.90 subjected to availability of our drivers and schedule.Â
- Alternatively, you may collect the items at our store on the same day during our operating hours once the items have been brought back by the driver.
- Where items are uncollected from our store for more than 1 day, they will be disposed of.
Damages/ Defects
- All orders and items are carefully checked and sent out in good condition. In the unlikely event that the items arrive not in good condition, please report it to us immediately or within 3 hours of receipt with a clear picture of the damage/defect. All items must be unconsumed, in the state that such damage/defect was discovered, and/or in their original state.
CAKE DECORATIONS & SERVING SIZES:
- Cakes with fresh flowers/fruits: we cannot guarantee an exact size, colour or species of fresh flowers/fruits as it depends on seasonal availability. All images shown during the course of placing your order are for sample purposes only.
- All weights, recommended servings and sizes are approximations only. Measurements stated may vary up to ~0.5" as our cakes are all baked fresh in store and there might be slight shrinkage which occurs during the baking process.
- Slight changes may be made to your cake design (e.g. placement, arrangement) as we see fit for practical and aesthetic purposes.Â
- Â Colors shown may deviate slightly on different screens as different tech devices have different colour resolutions.Â
